Word for the day: "Fall into Grace"

Romans 5: 20-21 (MSG) All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn't, and doesn't, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it's sin versus grace, grace wins hands down. All sin can do is threaten us with death, and that's the end of it. Grace, because God is putting everything together again through the Messiah, invites us into life—a life that goes on and on and on, world without end.Today in trying to describe my own life’s story and I had no other language to use to describe it. Like when a child uses "big" to describe everything from elephants to trucks to bowls of cereal. "Big" is the only good word he/she knows to use in that situation. Fall from grace, is what I thought of today for my life in many instances.  I didn't know how else to put it, but something irritated me about that term. We actually don't fall from grace, or do we? As if grace is a place we live in and then when we do something terrible we fall out of it. We hang, feet dangling, above everyone and everything in this life or do we? It occurred to me, my perspective maybe missing the point of God and His purpose.In reality we are all broken people in one or more areas of our lives. So every day, when we fail again, and again, and another time, we fall back into the embrace of grace. We fall down into the wild, wounded, and weariness of this life. Yet, the fall lands us into the unexpected arms of our God’s forgiveness, not OUT of it. Clearly that is where we belong, in the arms of grace. What do you think? Have you had it backwards all along? The definition for Grace is: God’s, Redeemed, Accepted, Chosen, and Expression of love.
