Word for the day "What's Coming is Better"
Hebrews 10:23 (NLT) Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. 24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.Sisters and brothers with today being the last day of 2012, my message to you is based on the Epistle of Hebrews 10th Chapter. “What’s Coming is Better”, the book of Hebrews encourages believers to persevere in their Faith in God always. As in the time the letter was written, it is today in our lives. There were many pressures in life and we don’t usually consider suffering or hard times as good for us and they the Hebrews felt the same way. Nevertheless, the writer reminded them of God’s track record and faithfulness. And the writer shared a word of encouragement that hard times can be seen to build our character and spiritual life. During times of great stress, we may sense God’s presence more deeply and find help from people we didn’t think cared about us! This was true then for the Hebrews and it is true for us today. The Hebrew writer (Believed by many to Apostle Paul) encourages his readers not to abandon their Faith in God, in times of pressure, conflict, and chaos. He exhorts the Hebrews to demonstrate that their faith was real by enduring those tough times and staying with God. My last words for year 2012 to you are “What’s coming is better” as long as we hold on to our God, we have a future now, tomorrow, and the days ahead! Happy New Year to you and your families. Wishing you abundant blessings from Total Praise Generation!
