Word for the day "Rationalizing your Actions"

Psalm 140:1-5 (MSG) David Psalm GOD, get me out of here, away from this evil; protect me from these vicious people. All they do is think up new ways to be bad; they spend their days plotting war games. They practice the sharp rhetoric of hate and hurt, speak venomous words that maim and kill. GOD, keep me out of the clutch of these wicked ones, protect me from these vicious people; Stuffed with self-importance, they plot ways to trip me up, determined to bring me down. These crooks invent traps to catch me and do their best to incriminate me.Sisters and brothers beware when you find yourself rationalizing your actions, whether good and especially bad. Ultimately, you will be trapped by your own deceit and unable to receive any direction from the Lord. Many of us operate in this manner, especially when we want what we want in life. But I caution you today this is a fatal practice to have in your life to you and those close to you. Most of us, at one time or another, have found ourselves rationalizing something we are not quite comfortable with. It's not so much the act of rationalizing, as it is the refusal to receive correction in this area that will get you in trouble. Do you see in your life where this maybe true?Do you see how clouded your mind can become when you give in to what you know is wrong, and then allow yourself to justify it? One of the gifts of having the Lord in our life is we become responsible and mature citizens in society. Are you growing in your walk with God, or are you still doing the same things you did before you accepted God in your life?Rationalization is an extremely “dangerous practice” to have in your life unchecked. If you rationalize inappropriate actions, at some point you may find yourself in some situations that are dead ends and harmful to you and your loved ones. It’s time to handle your business and be all that God has for you to be in this life. Have a fantastic day being all you were created to be by God.
