Word for the day: :Divine Circumstance"

God is such an awesome God! It has been one year since we started the word cup blog and God is still doing wonderful things through this ministry! To God be the glory!! Many people have been blessed and even healed through this blog. There is no secret what God can do, and I know He has greater works to be birthed from this ministry. Let us take a look back, today's word cup was originally posted on 4/11/12 and it still rings true today.II Samuel 7: 8 (NLT)Now go and say to my servant David, this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel.I have studied the lives of those called by God for His purposes. My observation has been both in my life and the lives of others is called a unique occurrence. God initiates a personal encounter with those He has called, often through a personal crisis. Yes God often takes His called through “Divine circumstances” in their spiritual journey toward becoming a specialized servant for his purposes. I have personally experienced this crisis encounter in my own life.Theologian Henry Blackaby, in his very powerful study Bible called Experiencing God, states that fulfilling our purpose has more to do with what God is doing with us than with what we are doing without Him. We are sharing in God agenda, not simply going out and doing a work for Him. God always works through human agency to accomplish His work on planet Earth. Divine circumstances involve a personal encounter through a personal crisis and then God directs His purposes.We don’t just decide we want to be called by God; it is often more a result of a circumstantial calling. The person responds to a situation into which he or she was placed. David was placed into a situation where Israel was unwilling to fight Goliath. This was not acceptable in David’s mind and heart despite his young age. He responded, and now you and I know the rest of the story. God described David’s life as this in the text: v8“Now go and say to my servant David, ‘this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel. The Divine circumstance began as a personal response from David, but it drew Israel into the fight with the Philistines as they inspired by his courage and leadership.Sisters and brothers God may call you through a Divine circumstance that disrupts your life, but connects you to a purpose and destiny. Remember Jesus went to the cross because of Divine circumstances and you know the rest of the story. Have a Divine Day!
