Word for the day "Just think on the Lord"

Philippians 4:8(KJV) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Would you believe it’s inevitable today you will be tempted by somebody or something? In fact, you will probably be tempted on countless occasions. Why? Because (we) you live in a world that’s filled with temptations and addictions that are intended to lead you far, far away from God.Here in the 21st century, temptations are now completely and thoroughly integrated in our everyday life. Seductive images are everywhere; subtle messages tell you that it’s okay to sin “just a little”; and to make matters even worse, society doesn’t just seem to endorse godlessness, it actually seems to reward it. These messages, of course, are extremely dangerous and completely untrue. How can you stand up against society’s onslaught of temptations? By learning to direct your thoughts and your eyes toward things that are pleasing to God, as in today’s Word! . . . and by relying upon Him to help you stay focused on things that are “whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable” (Philippians 4:8). And Our God will help us (you) succeed; you will be able to resist every single temptation that confronts you.God is always with you, and if you do your part, He will do His part. But what, precisely, is your part? A good starting place is simply learning how to recognize the insidious temptations that surround you. The images of immorality are pervasive, and they are intended to overtake your mind, your heart, your finances, your life, and your soul. Direct your thoughts towards the Lord, and seek His guidance.Point to Ponder Bill Bright: Most Christians do not know or fully realize that the adversary of our lives is Satan and that his main tool is our flesh, our old nature.
