Word for the day "The truth of Consequences"

Numbers 20:12 (NIV) "But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them’.Talk about a tough consequence! Moses - the proverbial leader of the Exodus and recorder of the Ten Commandments - was not allowed to enter the Promised Land because of the one time he disobeyed God outright (Obviously Moses had disobeyed the Lord before, but this time there would be consequences he had not considered). Moses later pleaded with God to change his mind, but God followed through with the consequence. Have you ever experienced this? are you at this place now in your life?Even great leaders (and great kids) can make serious errors. In a world of declining moral standards, following through with needed consequences can feel unloving and harsh. But in order to develop habits of obedience in our children, we need to establish clear boundaries and consistently enforce consequences when they disobey. God operates in this manner towards us. This message is for parents, grandparents, spiritual parents, those in leadership and leaders in the making!Even though it may seem harsh, delivering consequences consistently is an act of love. Let’s end our week with a fresh vibrant Word for our spiritual development. Many times we abuse our relationship with God, and yet the Lord loves us and proves it. I say today we work towards honoring our relationship with God in all that we say and do, have a fantastic weekend!
