Word for the day "We are not ignorant"

II Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV) lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.Good morning family of God, I don’t mean to frighten you but did you know we face a very real, insidious enemy. To make things even more confusing, the source of all the evil is invisible, as are all of his troops (Ephesians 6:10). Some even question the existence of the devil. Rarely are "artillery sermons" (messages readying congregations for battle with the enemy) delivered in pulpits around our land anymore. How seldom are Satan and his demons even mentioned by name. In many Churches today you will hear all of that explained away: "I write you today to alert you, even in this Christ-Mas season”. (Christ-Mas, means more of Christ). What are we to believe, that the devil is a little creature with a red epidermis and horns, carrying a pitchfork and sitting like an imp on our shoulders? No! Our foe is brilliant. "Exceptional intellectual ability" is a better way to put it. The devil has been studying you for years (Job 1:7). And your enemy knows you thoroughly and plans the attack that will strike at your most vulnerable weakness in hopes of bringing you down. He exists for your failure, fall, and demise (John 10:10).In order to step intelligently and wisely into the battle, we need clear understanding and empowerment from the Lord. Thankfully, God gives them to us in His Word. As we engage in this battle with Satan and his demons, we have to be sober and vigilant (I Peter 5:8). Just remember this in the Law of the land ignorance is not an excuse, and for your life with Christ, ignorance is not an excuse either family of God!For His Kingdom,Pastor James Baker
