Word for the day "God loves a cheerful giver"
II Corinthians 9:6 (NKJV) But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.As I consider the year gone by, it's one with memories happy and sad, peaceful and challenging, with gains and losses, pain and comfort. And as I think of the year gone by, I think of all the people that connected with me through the word cup ministry, all the private counseling sessions I have shared with so many people who were led onto a healing path of truth, formation and transformation. I think of God's grace, mercy, and undying love, I think of the strength, faithfulness, and sustaining grace of God to keep Grace and Truth Ministries doing what it's doing. And while I look back at the year gone by to reflect and learn, I laugh and cry at all that's happened. But more than that, it prompts me to look at this year and what's ahead of us. We think we know; we plan and head on a course of actions, but then God infuses Himself into our plans and lives, looking for us to respond to Him, to surrender our will to His and respond in a way that gives Him honor and glory. To make those plans and carry them out, to head in the direction we hear the Lord telling us to head, and to respond to those opportunities and challenges, it requires your prayers, love, and financial support. I'm writing today to ask you to remember our Ministry dedicated to you! Blessings and love always.for His Kingdom,Pastor James Baker
