Word for the day "Be on Guard"
Mark 13:32 (CEV) No one knows the day or the time. The angels in heaven don’t know, and the Son himself doesn’t know. Only the Father knows. 33 So watch out and be ready! You don’t know when the time will come. 34 It is like what happens when a man goes away for a while and places his servants in charge of everything. He tells each of them what to do, and he orders the guard to keep alert. 35 So be alert! You don’t know when the master of the house will come back. It could be in the evening or at midnight or before dawn or in the morning. 36 But if he comes suddenly, don’t let him find you asleep. 37 I tell everyone just what I have told you. Be alert!Did you know that the Book of Hebrews Chapter 11 is sometimes called the “Hall of Faith?” Prominent people like Abraham, Sarah, Moses, David, and Samuel all looked in anticipation toward Christ’s coming, even though it didn’t happen in their lifetime. We who live in this postmodern world understand that Jesus did come and will be coming again! The scriptures does not give us signs so we can calculate the year and date when the world will end. However, we believe by Faith even as those in the Hall of Faith did that the Lord will return for those that accepted His love and grace relationally! Have you accepted Jesus in your life?In today’s passage of scripture Jesus told the disciples no one knows the day date or the hour of His return. Instead, Jesus simply cautioned them, “Be on your guard!” Now I know this is not popular message in this postmodern time, but it is the message of the Gospel people of God!Advancing His KingdomPastor James BakerWe would like to thank everyone who came out to support our stage play on this past weekend.
