Word for the day "The Encounter of Hurt"

John 16: 31 (NKJV) Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will[d] have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”As our lives here in the earth realm unfolds, all of us will encounter occasional disappointments and setbacks: Those occasional visits from Old Man Trouble are simply a fact of life, and none of us are exempt, immune, untouched by. When tough times arrive, we may be forced to rearrange our plans, and our priorities. But even on our darkest days, we must never forget that God intends for us to use our setbacks as stepping stones on the journey to a better life.The fact that we encounter adversity is not nearly as important as the way we choose to deal with the adversity. When tough times arrive, we have a clear choice: we can begin the difficult work of tackling our troubles, or not. We must simply deal with our troubles or our troubles will deal with us! Do you have a situation you need to deal with or have been dealing with?Today’s word in the words of Jesus offers us comfort: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NKJV).In times of hardship, God will comfort us; in times of sorrow, He will dry our tears. When we are troubled or weak or sorrowful, the Lord is always with us. We must build our lives on the foundation that cannot be shaken: we must trust in God. And then, we must get on with the character-building, life-altering work of tackling our problems, after all if we don’t, who will?
