Word for the day "Wiser Together"

Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV) As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.Did you know a person who is wise is someone who has learned how to live life the right way? He or she is wise about relationships, wise about career, wise about money, wise about family, wise about character, and wise about eternity. When we read through the Proverbs we see “Wisdom is priceless!” All of us want to get better at life. Getting wiser alone, however, it's just not the way it works. God didn’t wire us to catch on to wise and godly living through lone-ranger attempts at learning; it’s something that transcends through us and on us when we spend time with others who have the wisdom of God living inside them. As today’s reading says, “Iron sharpens iron as one person sharpens another”.The Lord designed the Church so we can live in community not in fracture. God then helps us to build relationships within the Church that create the iron-sharpening-iron effect. We are better when we learn from each other and strengthen each other in our journey in life. Who are you learning from? And who are you helping to strengthen? It is with all sincerity that today’s message will open deeper dialog within your circle of families, friends, churches, communities, and even stimulate you to develop a group of people that you can learn and connect with in meaningful way.Advancing His Kingdom,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
