Word for the day "Trusting God's Promises"

Romans 4:16 (MSG) This is why the fulfillment of God’s promise depends entirely on trusting God and his way, and then simply embracing him and what he does. God’s promise arrives as pure gift. That’s the only way everyone can be sure to get in on it, those who keep the religious traditions and those who have never heard of them.I have counseled and shared hearts with married couples, and this has allowed me to hear the best and the worst of what goes on in relationships. I've seen couples overcome affairs, financial disasters, and terminal diseases. At the same time, I've watched people walk away from their spouses and families for some pretty lame reasons like:• 'I am no longer happy.'• 'He works too hard and is never home.'• 'She's too busy and disconnected from me to care about my needs.'• 'There's not much of an attraction anymore.'These are warning signs that you need help, clearly not reasons for calling it quits. The commitment to keep promises creates a safe environment where families and friendships flourish. Taking promises too casually creates disillusionment and fear. The people in your life want to know and need to know that you'll keep your promises. More than money, more than advice, more than gifts, they simply want you to be faithful. I am not sure who this message is for today, But don’t miss this opportunity to do it God’s way.Point to ponder- Our children, grandchildren, and families are watching how we handle our relationships, marriages. We have to show them how God wants us to do it, have a great day.Kingdom Blessings,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
