Word for the day "In Christmas we find hope"
John 16:31 (NKJV) Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will[d] have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”Christmas can be a time of great joy, yet it can also be a time of great pain. I was recently affected by the story of a woman who couldn't stop sobbing over the loss of her daughter as the holidays approached. She tried to put on a brave face for her healthy sons, but even three years later the grief of losing her only daughter, and along with her, many dreams, was difficult to bear.Contrary to what some secular counselors might think, God's word teaches there's little peace in death. But there is hope in Jesus Christ. You see, that's what Christmas is all about, God's love coming in the form of a small baby to bring hope to a lonely and broken world. I know today’s message is for someone reading today!Point to ponder- If you're grieving or know someone who is struggling this season, look to the true story of Christmas and find hope; hope God gave us in the baby, our redeemer, Jesus Christ!I pray and hope you are blessed beyond measure this Christ-Mas season! In His Love,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
