Psalm 73:25 (NIV) Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. 26 My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.When we take a close look at the life of Adam and Eve in the Bible (Chapter 2 to Chapter 5). It was mankind's fall , and this came as a results their decision to eat the forbidden fruit. The main takeaway from their life is the significance of decisions. We as people are in dangerous territory when our lives are a part from God! Where are you with your relationship with God?Once we realize that all of our thoughts and desires are twisted, and all of our strength at times under the influence of the enemy of our soul can be diverted away from God; then we'll begin realizing how dangerous it is to rely solely on our own strength, desire, and wisdom. In today's passage the Psalmist recognizes his need for God in a transparent expression.Human strength fails when you don't see any results. Human motivation ends when applause and affirmation fade. And human wisdom tells us to get ahead and then quit. Our mortality at best is fickle when left to our own devices. We are in scary place if and when we try to live our lives without God!But God's strength becomes perfect when we are weak. And God's approval comes when we stop trying to please the crowd. And the Lord’s wisdom tells us to stop trying to lead the way and to follow the Lord instead.
