Word for the day "How are you living"
Romans 8:16 (NKJV) The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.I recently heard about a fifty-one year old man charged with burglary. What's strange about that? Well, the man is the son of a billionaire oil tycoon. He was found hiding under a table in a shop with a few miscellaneous items.I was struck by how sad this story seemed-a man who is heir to a fortune, who probably even has a fortune-living as if he was a pauper. Then it occurred to me how often we as Christians behave the same way. We are literally joint heirs to the king of kings. Yet so often we grasp for the grime this world has to offer. We long for the acceptance of man though we are unconditionally loved by the One who created mankind. We lust after things, though our Father is the giver of all good gifts( James 1:17).Point to ponder- How do you see yourself? Prince/Princess? Or Pauper? It's a choice only you can make. God yearns for you to choose to be His child. Whose child are you?In His Love,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
