Word for the day "Marriage"

Malachi 2:14 (NASB) Yet you say, ‘For what reason?’ Because the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant. 15 [t]But not one has done so who has a remnant of the Spirit. And [u]what did that one do while he was seeking a godly [v]offspring? Take heed then to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth. 16 For [w]I hate [x]divorce,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “and [y]him who covers his garment with [z]wrong,” says the LORD of hosts. “So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.”When asked to reveal his secret for staying married for well over half a century, Billy Graham gave a simple, yet somewhat paradoxical answer: "Ruth and I are happily incompatible." Today’s message is for married couples and those aspiring to be married. That's a great answer to questions everyone inevitably asks themselves at some point during marriage: "How can I stay married to this person?" And, "Did I marry the wrong person?" Maybe you are married and maybe your not but today's message is very useful to your insight and understanding! But that, "Did I marry the wrong person?" question is a dangerous one. Why? Because it's framed completely wrong. And wrongly framed questions twist the issue and therefore elicit wrong answers. Furthermore, the question is based upon a serious misunderstanding of marriage itself. And misunderstandings create a fertile field for incorrect notions, incorrect notions that have the potential to damage your marriage and family.Point to ponder- When you married (or when you marry) you made a commitment to do certain things, like love, honor and; cherish. There were not any "out" clauses in case the person wasn't the right person for you. Now I see why couples would rather live together, it does not require commitment. Living together embraces convenience which allows people a way “out”, when things do not go their way! Learn to be happily incompatible. Please have a marvelous day.For His Glory,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
