Word for the day "We walk by Faith"

II Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)  For we walk by faith, not by sight.Do you like to have all the answers? Who doesn't, right? But the truth is that even with all of our knowledge we know very little. Do you find this frustrating? Sometimes it would be nice if God would whisper in our ear Marry this person, Pursue this degree, or Take this job! What does walking by Faith look like?At some point,  we must see our desire to have all the answers as an attempt to be our own god. Instead of giving us all of life's answers, our gracious Lord calls us instead to trust in His divine plan for our lives. Many times I think it’s my plan but the reason I am writing today is because I am painfully aware the plan is God’s! And who’s plan do you think it is for your life? The apostle Paul wrote, “We live by faith not by sight, we make it our goal to please [the Lord], whether we are at home in the body or away from it” (II Corinthians 5:7,9). Now this is counter-cultural message, please notice!  And the author of Hebrews continues this idea: “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1).When you find yourself grasping for answers in your life, look to the person and promises of Christ in the Word of God.Point to ponder- We are called to trust in the Lord great people of God. Holocaust survivor Corrie Ten Boom said, "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God." Trust that though you do not have the answers, your good, loving, wise Father does. For His Glory,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
