Word for the day "Satisfied"
Psalm 17:15 (NKJV) As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.I believe sincerely that Heaven is, as earth should be, Christ-centered. It is for this reason that David also declares in today’s devotional reading, I shall be satisfied when I awake in thy likeness. The great satisfaction, the great reward, of heaven is experiencing the presence of Christ and being made like Christ. Heaven is, ultimately, not only about being reunited with deceased love ones, or being healed from all sickness, But I am suggesting for your consideration today that heaven is all about Jesus. In this Lent season, is it all about Jesus for you? That is why, in Revelation, the throne of the Lamb is the center of attention; that is why the psalmist writes, “Whom have I in heaven but thee?” (Psalm 73:25). And that is why John was told to write “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord” (Revelation 13:14); only those in Christ are blessed in death. I am learning to not settle in my life, but to be satisfied in learning and embracing the Lord in my life! Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of February 2016 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. Calvin Jackson, Mr. William Wilson, Ms. Vanessa Gaskins, Mrs. Denise Johnson, Mrs. Maugarite William, Ron Clarke and Ms. Gertrude Scott. Point to ponder - But those who are in Christ awake in his likeness and in his presence (II John 3:2), and therefore to complete and lasting satisfaction in the Lord.
