Word for the day "The Lord made you"

Psalm 139:13 (ESV) For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. ¹⁴ I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.^[a] Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.Many people seem to go about life with a kind of what I call a peacock mindset, bold confidence and false sense of security in themselves. The truth, however, is that most of us wish we were different somehow. If only you were as good looking as Denzel, if you were as physically fit as Gabby, if you had the financial sense of Warren. Who do you want to be like?While it's okay to admire good qualities in others, often this desire to be like someone else is actually a form of covetousness, or envy if not measured carefully. So, how about learning to accept yourself as God has made you. Do you accept yourself? Are you struggling accepting yourself? Before you can truly accept yourself, however, you need to see the truth about yourself, recognizing both the gifts and the limitations that God's given you. If you don't, you will constantly struggle to be someone you are not and probably will not be. Each of us is unique and special gift in who we are, embraced and accepted by the Lord our God, even though not one of us is perfect. I pray today's message will help you reconsider something.Point to ponder- Once you accept the truth about yourself your focus can change, and you can bring great glory to God himself. The Lord, after all, is the one who made you, and God is the reason we live.
