Word for the day "God knows my Name"

I Samuel 3:1 (NKJV) and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle[a] of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down, that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” So he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down. Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!”Family we do not receive a group discount for the being a part of the kingdom. Instead, God tugs at your heart as an individual, calling you one by one. When God calls someone, The Lord calls you and me personally. It's a biblical pattern repeated time and again. In today’s reading The Lord called young Samuel by name until he responded.  Jesus stopped at the fishing boat of Peter and Andrew and said, "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19) The Lord called Abram at the time his Father died. (Genesis 12:1-4) And so it's been through all of time. The manner and circumstances of the call are radically diverse, but its personal nature is the same. The Bible compares such a relationship to a shepherd's intimate knowledge of his flock. The shepherd knows the peculiarities and habits of every one of his own sheep. In other words, the Lord know you and me by our name. Whether you know or not the Lord is calling you to be in a viable relationship with Him today!Point to ponder- The Lord knows us intimately, even if we don’t know Him intimately. And the Lord calls us by our name. Listen for God’s prompting or voice today! Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of July 2016 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Ms. Gertrude Scott, Mrs. Denise Johnson,  Mr. Kenneth Washington, Mrs. Barbara Mason, and Ms. Vanessa Gaskins.
