Word for the day "Shared Burden"
Numbers 11:17 (NKJV) I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone. We are called to walk alongside others on the journey of discipleship. We serve our sisters and brothers by helping them stay on or return to the destiny of faithfulness. And we also serve them by making sure we continue in faithfulness. Self-neglect and irresponsibility impose an unfair burden on your sister and brother in the Lord, because they are called to help you. That's why today's message is "Shared Burden"!Our relationship with the Lord and each other is not a place of self-sufficiency, we are called the body of Christ. It's time we quit believing those fallacies we've been listening to for so long. Our faith in the Lord is not each person looking out for him or herself. Nor is it the survival of the fittest. I am saying today is a calling to share the burden of life together. We are called to share the troubles and problems of others, then we are operating in our purpose in the law of love. Our troubles bring us together! And when others call on you, you have the opportunity to be an instrument of God's mercy and grace, looking for nothing in return.Point to ponder- Do you know someone who is having a tough time now? What practical way can you come alongside that person and help him or her in the season of their lives? Prayerfully consider what God may be calling you to do, the power of divine relationships is working in us.Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of July 2016 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Ms. Gertrude Scott, Mr. Kenneth Washington, Mrs. Barbara Mason, and Ms. Vanessa Gaskins.
