Word for the day "Greater Purpose"

I Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) But as it is written:“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”[c]One the most critical aspects of my role as pastor involves mentoring and counseling. Having a diverse ministry in my home, in the marketplace, in the urban community, youth centers, senior citizen nursing homes, you can imagine the number of calls I get. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to guide members through various situations in life. I can honestly say I enjoy this aspect of being a pastor immensely. One of my main emphasis to those having a tough time in life:Do not make the mistake of seeing your present situation as the future the Lord has in store for you. It is reasonable to feel that way when God is taking you to your divine destiny. God rarely ever moves you from where you are to where He wants you to be without taking through some challenges along the way. Before you can ever get to where God wants you to be, the Lord has to do some work on the inward parts of us all. This is because in life,  often on the path towards destiny, we will face obstacles, obstructions, and opposition along the way. These challenges are not meant to harm you, but meant to help and heal you for your future!Point to ponder- The Lord knows what is necessary for our proper spiritual maturity. And all of it is necessary. God is more interested in your development than your happiness. The Lord cares more for your character than your comfort, your purity than your productivity. It’s absolutely a pleasure to serve each of you and hope you had the best Thanksgiving ever! Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of November 2016 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Mr. Kenneth Washington, Ms. Sylvia Meza, Ms. Rita McGuffin, Mrs. Denise Johnson, Mrs. Barbara Mason, Mable Bazemore, Ms. Sheron Farrow  and Ms. Gertrude Scott.
