Word for the day "We have a Savior"
Galatians 3:22 (NIV) The Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.Taking our lives back begins with accepting the reality that we can’t take our lives back. Not on our own. In other words, we must accept the reality that we don’t have what it takes to undo the mess our lives have become. The Apostle Paul makes in interesting assertion he shares in scripture, we are prisoners of sin: our own and the sin of others. We have no sustained ability on our own to break free. We can participate in our freedom but we cannot be free on our own!Think of all the times you’ve tried to change, and failed. All the times you’ve made some progress, only to find yourself back at square one. We are truly powerless to make any real change in our lives. We may be unable to succeed at being free on our own. But do have access to help. In fact, we have a Savior, and His name is Jesus Christ!Jesus Christ died on the cross to set us free from the destructive consequences of sin that hold us captive. But that freedom is dependent on our believing in Jesus and accepting what he has done for us. Have you accepted that only Jesus can really give your life the help it needs!Point to ponder- Before we can take our lives back, we must give them over to the one who came to set us free.
