Word for the day "Are you a solider"?

Hebrews 10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. So much of our lives is a journey where we get to exercise our faith and our obedience to God’s principles for living. There will be times when you grow weary, times when you want to throw in the towel. You’ll experience pain, fear, and every imaginable emotion. You’ll win some battles but lose others. You may get discouraged at times when you don’t see the progress you’d like despite your diligence. But if you persevere through it all, you’ll honor God and find a life worth living. The apostle Paul’s words to the young disciple, Timothy, tell us a thing or two about perseverance. "Endure suffering along with me," said Paul, "as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. And as Christ’s soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army. Follow the Lord’s rules for doing his work, just as an athlete either follows the rules or is disqualified and wins no prize. Hardworking farmers are the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor." (II Timothy 2:3-6)Point to ponder- Have you ever thought of yourself as a soldier? or as a trained and skilled athlete? Soldier’s and athletes are disciplined; always on the grind in the gym. Today consider yourself a solider of the Lord! Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of October 2017 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Mr. David Straker, Mrs. Annette Straker, and Ms. Gertrude Scott.
