Word for the day "The Power of Obedience"

John 14:23 (KJV) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.We live in a society that surrounds us with temptations to disobey God’s laws in every aspect of our lives. So if we are to win the battle against temptation and sin, we must never drop our guard. I am learning to the power of obedience to the Lord in my life more than ever before.A righteous life has many components: faith, honesty, generosity, love, kindness, humility, gratitude, and worship, to name but a few. If we seek to follow the steps of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we must seek to live according to God’s commandments and principles. When we seek God’s righteousness in our own lives, and when we seek the companionship of like-minded friends we not only build our characters, but we also reap the spiritual rewards that God offers to those who live a life of obedience. When we live in accordance with God’s commandments, the Lord blesses us in ways that we cannot fully understand. Are you ready, willing, able, and anxious to receive God’s blessings?Point to ponder- Then start making every effort to live a life of obedience to the Lord today. And rest assured that when you do your part, the Lord will do His part. Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of February 2018 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Ms. Annette Straker, Mr. Kenneth Washington, Ms. Gloria Teel and Gertrude Scott.
