Word for the day "The challenge of maintaining your Integrity is real"
James 4:7-8 (NKJV) Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, double-minded.
The challenge of maintaining your Integrity is real.
One definition of Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, or moral uprightness. It is generally a personal choice to hold oneself to consistent moral and ethical standards. In life maintaining one’s integrity is a major challenge. Temptations are everywhere, and the devil, it seems, never takes a day off. Your challenge is to see those temptations for what they are: dangerous and destructive. Family of God I am grateful to share today’s message with you, having made mistakes in my journey. I thank God for His amazing Grace and this platform of sharing hearts.
As the family of God, we must position ourselves on the Lord’s side, even when we at times lose our way.
What was true in New Testament times is equally true in our own. Evil is indeed abroad in the world, and Satan continues to sow the seeds of destruction, and discord daily. In a very real sense, our world is at war: good versus evil, addiction versus moderation, hope versus suffering, praise versus apathy. As people of God, we must ensure that we place ourselves intentionally on the right side of these conflicts: and that is the Lord’s side.
The Bible really has the principles and practices needed to live in the Lord’s Victory.
How can we do it? By intentionally and thoughtfully studying God’s Word, by regularly worshiping with fellow believers, and by guarding our hearts and minds against the subtle temptations of the enemy. When we do, we are protected. Many of the solutions we need are in plane sight of the scriptures. However, when we are not intentional about God we miss the purposes of God for our lives. (Luke 18:34) The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he (The Lord) was talking about.
Point to ponder
It’s out there, and it can hurt you. Evil does exist, and you will confront it. Prepare yourself by forming a genuine, life-changing relationship with God and His only begotten Son Jesus.
