Word for the day “Embrace positive self-talk.”

I Samuel 30:6 (NKJV) Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was [a]grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

Great day leaders,

Leadership often requires you to encourage yourself, as a ministry, business, or other area of society can be draining at times. There is the constant task of keeping people on track with the vision, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and dealing with challenges and obstacles on a regular basis. Perhaps you don’t feel like a leader, but my guess is that you are leading people more than you realize.

LEADERS WHO EMBRACE SPEAKING POSITIVELY TO THEMSELVES.

One of the greatest challenges of leading people is staying refreshed with inspiration, motivation, vision, and passion for what God wants to accomplish through your efforts. This is a quality every leader needs to develop in their playbook. We cannot depend only on the encouragement of others, but we need to ask God to make us people of vision, hope, and joy for the sake of those we lead.

It takes just as much energy to look at the greater side of all God is doing in our lives and our leadership roles as it does to stay depressed at the obstacles we are facing. Choose to and practice the habit of encouraging yourself in the Lord. Get excited about what God is doing in your life. Be encouraged by the hand of God working through your leadership to bring about positive change and good things for those you lead, and the people you are seeking to impact.

POINT TO PONDER

The self-talk leadership component will change the trajectory of your day and your life, both as a person and a leader, in any capacity. Perhaps you are embarking on your leadership journey and feel that something is missing? It would be important to ask if you are receiving enough divine support. When we immerse ourselves in the Word of God and make intentional time to seek the Lord through His Word, He will always meet us there. When we talk to God and to ourselves, we are onto something amazing, take it from me. We will go away from that place more encouraged than we have been in a long time.

Make talking to God and yourself a new habit in your leadership playbook, the most important habit in your leadership – even if you are a business leader, and you will be blessed in countless ways I cannot even begin to express.
