Word for the day “Leaders have access to power”
Isaiah 40:29 (NKJV) He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Beloved leaders,
I find it amazing how the Lord provides support, strength, and even access to His power in our seasons of weakness and despair. It is not uncommon to find someone who will give support to the powerful, attention to the famous, notice the remarkable, or give recognition to the accomplished. Virtually everyone is willing to support and follow the well-known, talented, or beautiful person.
GOD GIVES ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE FAINT AND BROKEN HEARTED.
The Lord gives strength to the exhausted. The Lord does not join the crowds hurrying after luminaries; God seeks out the broken-hearted and the overlooked and gives them the greatest honor imaginable. I wonder have you ever noticed this about God? As written in today’s passage of (Isaiah 40:29).
Our weakness requires the Lord’s resurrection power to function in its place. So not only can we not boast, but our leadership service carries spiritual unction and anointing that wouldn’t be present otherwise. If we could fulfill God’s purposes on our own, it would be the mere performance of self-reliance, but because God’s strength is being completed, accomplished, and fulfilled in our weakness, all the glory is the Lord’s.
IT'S THE LORD STRENGTH THAT LITERALLY CHANGES OUR LIVES FROM WEAKNESS TO HIS STRENGTH.
Our human strength will not touch hearts or change lives. God’s grace and strength does. It’s part of His plan, His grace and strength is a requirement to fulfill His plan for our destiny (II Corinthians 12:7-9). We see it over and over in the Bible. God is attracted to weaknesses. Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Gideon, Ruth, Esther, Mary, Peter, and Paul. It doesn’t matter how others might describe you; perhaps they even consider you among the great, the mighty, and the successful.
But are you broken-hearted and helpless before the Lord? If so, then prepare for a strong infusion from the most-High God Himself in this season of your life. When you are faced with a critical challenge, do you promptly look for the most powerful means to solve the problem?
I have discovered that is not thinking the way God thinks. The Bible tells us that it pleases God to use what the world considers weak, foolish, rejected, and despised to bring good to us and glory to His name (I Corinthians 1:27).
POINT TO PONDER
As a servant leader, I make myself available to God, even in my weakness. God works through the weak things of the world to shame those mighty and oppressive things in the lives of His own.
Consider these life-changing questions for your life:
Where do you seek strength for life’s challenges?
How often do you see times of weakness as a disadvantage?
Do you sense the Lord’s support and power in your times of weakness?
What do you see from today’s message that you can apply to your life?
Are you ready to embrace your moments of weakness?
Do you understand the difference between self-reliance vs God-reliance?
Special thanks!
