Word for the day: “Leaders must always find a way to connect with God.”

Exodus (NKJV) 17:11 And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands became [e]heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

  Good morning, Leaders,

Leaders, don’t let the enemy of your soul turn you away from the only one who can restore, revive, and resurrect your mind, body, and soul. Don’t let the enemy isolate you from the people who will pour into your empty cup because, many days, we can’t do life and the storms of life by ourselves. Sometimes, we need Godly brothers and sisters to come alongside us and hold our arms up. Please make sure you read today’s passage above for more context of fighting the enemy of our souls. We need certain relationships that can speak into our lives and remind us of God’s promises, purposes, and plans. We need them to refute the enemy’s lies and remind us of who we are and to whom we belong in God.

BEWARE OF THE ENEMY OF YOUR SOUL AND THE NEED FOR DIVINE RELATIONSHIPS.

The devil will do everything he can to crush your faith, to make you throw in the towel, and I think sometimes it’s way easier to do after we’ve gone through the storm and emerge weary, wounded, and sad. When we feel empty, in the storm, you can see the battle you are facing. But often, in the storm season, you don’t know what you are fighting. In the stormy season, you must know what to ask people to pray for, but when you are walking through the valleys of life and don’t know what’s wrong, how do you ask for help? And that often pushes us further away from those who can pour back into us.

ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO CONNECT WITH GOD.

It’s just as important to hold tight to God’s promises in the storm of life. We can’t let go of our grip on what we know to be true, what we’ve learned, and who God has revealed Himself to be. See I think many of us loose our grip when the storm blows over, but the truth is we need God in the darkest moments when every fiber of our being screams for us to give up and when life appears to be normal. Our need to connect with God should never loosen; we need Him every moment of every day. But as we step out of the stormy season, we tend to put God back on the shelf for the next time our life is falling apart, and we’ve hit the end of our rope.

  POINT TO PONDER

We need to connect with God in our everyday lives, in our relationships, in our jobs, and our dreams. We need a living, breathing relationship with God every day. Always find a way to connect with God in seasons of storms and in seasons when the storm is calm.
