Word for the day: “Leaders who look forward.”

Proverbs 18:16 (NKJV) A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.

BELOVED LEADERS AND SUBSCRIBERS,

The year 2023 for me has been especially mentally challenging, and I know the same is true notably for leaders. So today, let's take a quick review of how you think as a leader.

I've discovered there are at least four types of thinking that can sabotage your leadership destiny:

  1. Not being fully vested in your own leadership journey.

  2. Not having a growth mindset and sense of motivation in your leadership.

  3. Not having a competent person or people to walk alongside of you in your leadership process.

  4. Not having the right accountability network in your leadership journey (perhaps the most lethal).

If you're curious about what each type looks like and how to avoid sabotaging what you're doing.

Looking Ahead: “It is the capacity to develop and improve their skills that distinguish leaders from followers.” Warren Bennis and Bert Nanus here are a few considerations to clear thinking moving forward.

  • The importance of casting vision during times of crisis.

  • Establishing healthy relational boundaries in leadership, ministry, and business.

  • Taking the time to address personal hardships while leading.

Special thanks!
