Word for the day “Take courage Wednesday”
Matthew 14:27 (NIV) ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid’
Time to take courage as Jesus said.
We live in a world that can be, at times, a very frightening place. Often it can be a very discouraging place. The life-changing losses can be so painful, so profound that it seems we will never recover. But, with God’s help, and with the help of encouraging family members and friends, we can recover.
Are you willing to face your fears right now? Are you willing to cast off the chains of timidity and procrastination by deciding to do what needs to be done now, and not later? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you are destined to build a better life for yourself and your loved ones.
Take courage and step beyond your limitations today.
Today, ask God for the courage to step beyond the boundaries of your self-doubts. Ask the Lord to direct you to a place where you can realize your full potential-a place where you are freed from the fear of failure. Ask God to do the hard part and promise the Lord that you will do your part.
Don’t ask God to lead you to a “safe” place; ask God to lead you to the “right” place and remember: those two places are seldom the same. We learn in this process to be authentic and not on a script with costume and mask on. Be sure to tap into the people and lives around you in a new way and for the better.
Point to ponder
Are you feeling anxious or fearful? If so, trust God to handle those problems that are simply too big for you to solve.
Entrust the future, your future to God. Then, spend a few minutes in some much needed what I call “reflective thinking”
· Can you consider specific steps, you can take to confront and conquer your fears?
· What are you fearful of at this time in your life?
· What do you want out of your life?
· Are you aware that your network is your net worth?
Just because you're struggling now, it does not mean you are a failure. Allow today's message to activate your trust and faith in God.
Quote- "Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble." Representative John Lewis
Prayer: Lord, I pray that today we will trust You to handle our problems, cares, and fears. We commit our fears and anxieties to You. We lay before Your throne the problems that are too big for us, and we pray for guidance and direction as we embrace and navigate our way through our fears and troubles, In Christ's name Amen.
