Word for the day “There are levels to leadership.”
I Corinthians NKJV 9:19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; 20 and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the [e]law, that I might win those who are under the law; 21 to those who are without law, as without law (not being without [f]law toward God, but under [g]law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; 22 to the weak I became [h]as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
Good morning, Leaders,
Today’s message is about the leadership refinement process. Everything you use in your life undergoes a process of refinement. The Gold in jewelry is refined. Refinement is a stripping process that either enhances or removes value from something. The same is true for each of us. God refines us as He prepares to position us for the next level and adds to our lives.
THERE ARE LEVELS TO LEADERSHIP.
You cannot enter your next level of leadership with the habits and behaviors that helped you get where you are now. Where God is taking you requires some new skills, some new insight, and some new strength. So, I want you to know that God is refining you for your next level of leadership and life. My Sister and my brother, God is preparing you right now.
One of the most critical areas where God is preparing you is in your job. You spend more time at work than anywhere else. So, God is using your workplace as the testing ground for your next assignment. God is preparing you for the promotion you have been praying for. God is preparing you for the new career opportunities you have trained for, because You are not like everyone else, you are one of God's choice people (I Peter 2:9 NKJV).
POINT TO PONDER
This message and this time are an opportunity to change the narrative that your job must be horrible and that you must be at war with your coworkers. You need to remember that God is with you, even on your job. God is fighting your battles when it feels like you are constantly under attack.
I’m a living testimony that your job can be your next assignment. I served in ministry through my marketplace job for 14 years. I facilitated a workplace Bible study at a Fortune 500 company and counseled employees on both personal and professional matters. My process was amazing, and God is more amazing in how He refined my life and leadership through the assignment.
Consider these leadership insights:
Have you been faithful to your job at your workplace?
Do you believe it’s time for expansion in your leadership role?
Have you asked God for His plan and vision for your life?
Do you often reject the notion of being used by God at work?
Can you envision yourself making a positive impact at your workplace for God?
In what capacity can you see yourself being used by God in your workplace?
