Word for the day:” You are Built for this.”

Good Morning Leaders,

I’ve discovered in my leadership journey and aspirations how important it is for leaders to receive and give encouragement to other leaders.

My Mentor, The Former President and retired Corporate America Executive Craig S. Ivey, would say to me, “James”: The position or title doesn’t make the leader; the leader makes the position and title. He was affirming my leadership efforts anytime I would say anything about not having a leadership title or position. And today, I want to affirm any and all leaders reading today’s message.

For God has placed the gifts and assignments of heaven inside of you. God's giftings are not in the strategies of this world.  God's giftings are not on social media. God's giftings are inside of you.  I know what it's like to doubt yourself after you have gone through a setback, so I can tell you from experience that the key to a successful life is being able to pick yourself off and get back to the work God has placed in your sphere of influence.

There is something that God has put in your spirit, and it needs to come out.  I know you are at the edge, trying to decide if you are going to try again.  Are you going to start that business idea that God gave you? Are you going to pursue that new relationship? Are you going to pick up the pieces and try again?

“YOU ARE BUILT FOR THIS.”

Here is a prayer to help you strengthen yourself in the days ahead.

  Great God,

You know my heart, and you know that I love you.

I’m trying to do my best to follow after you, but sometimes I stumble and fall.

Sometimes I lose my courage.

Sometimes I forget who I am in you and start looking to the world to tell me who I am.

On the days when my strength is fading fast, build me up again.

Remind me of the simple truth that you have called me for such a time as this.

I can walk around empowered knowing I am God's beloved.

I can walk around in victory knowing I am enough.

I can live boldly knowing I have been called to do great things.

Help me remember these things, wonderful Father.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Special thanks!
