Word for the day: "I Believe God"
Matthew 21:21 &22 (NIV) Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22) If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”Sisters and Brothers it’s my sincere prayer that you had a wonderful weekend with your family, friends, and experiences. As this week begins no matter what your experiences have been up until now “I believe God” for you and your love ones. In today’s word we see a biblical promise spoken by Jesus to the disciples about V 21&22 faith and prayer. We Christians often struggle to accept the promises of God for our own lives. But today’s word challenges us to take a second glance at the promises of God in the Bible in order to see the grandeur of what God has committed Himself to do for His people. So the question is why believe in God? The real reason “I believe God” is that He has revealed Himself to me through the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus claimed to be God in human flesh (John 8:58). Now this is an astounding claim, but He supported the claim by His untouchable personal character, His fulfillment of predictive prophecy, by His influence on human history, but most significantly, by His historical resurrection from the dead. Now, if you are looking for God, you need look no further than Jesus Christ Himself. He was either a liar, a lunatic, a legend, or He is, in fact, Lord. Now I think if you’ll examine the evidence in your life, you’ll agree with me that He is the Lord, the one who spoke and the universe leaped into existence. And for this reason “I believe God” for you and yours. In fact I believe it’s already done for you, all you have to do is Believe God for yourself. Yes I believe your family will get better, and I believe God will provide, I believe the promises that He made, and it’s already done for you. Yes I believe God is a healer, and I believe we will survive, because God is able, and it’s already done. Sometimes we have been so immersed in the challenges of life, that it can literally block our vision of seeing God in our lives. But today right from the start of the week “I believe God” and that God is giving an expiration date to your situation. “I believe God” if you just hold on things are going to get better, not to worry weeping may endure for a night but joy will come in the morning, the storm may last for a night but I believe the clouds will roll away, and in the morning the sun will shine. I believe you will make it through it, would you believe God with me? Because it’s already done. Blessings and Love to you all.Elder Baker
