Word for the day: "Jesus I Love You"
Romans 5:6-8 (MSG) Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn't, and doesn't, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn't been so weak, we wouldn't have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.Would you believe me if I told you; Jesus walks with you. Are you walking with Him? Hopefully, you will choose to walk with Him today and every day of your life. Knowing Jesus is with us always is a staggering reality and one I have come to honor with my whole heart. How about you? Do you honor our Lord in your life? Do you know how much Jesus loves you today?Jesus loved you so much that He endured unspeakable humiliation and suffering for you. How will you respond to Christ’s sacrifice? Will you take up His cross and follow Him (Mark 8:34), or will you choose another path? When you place your hopes squarely at the foot of the cross, when you place Jesus squarely at the center of your life, you will be blessed beyond measure. There are times when I become so confused by those of us who claim to be Christians. While we say we are Christians, we often do the things that do not reflect Jesus or ignoring both Jesus and His unsurpassed love for us. We all are found in this place at one time or another.Let us love our Savior, let us praise Him, and let us share His message of salvation with the world. This is today’s challenge no gripes, worries, or excuses in this matter of Loving our Lord. I believe when we do, we will demonstrate that our acquaintance with the Master is not a passing fancy, but is, instead, the cornerstone and the touchstone of our lives. Your response to today’s word will impact the rest of your life and those you care about the most, and right now I may not be what I want to be but I sure do Love my Jesus. How about you? Think about it - Jesus chose death over living life without you and me.Elder Baker
