Word for the day: "Brokenness"

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.These times of Brokenness are designed by God to lead us a personal revelation of Jesus Christ in our lives. We tend to be such strong willed people and leaders that often it takes a measure of personal pain to stop us in our current path, a path that God knows is not His best for our lives. So in this process we experience great brokenness and hardship. But my point in today’s message is to remind you that our God has designed this to move you into a life of deep intimacy with Him. If the truth is told for many of us, this process is the first time we experience an intimate encounter with the living God. For Abraham it was leaving his family, friends, comforts. For Joseph it was the betrayal of his brothers. Through this process we experience today’s text v20” I have been crucified with Christ”It took three nails to crucify our Lord to the cross. And I believe in my heart of hearts God is saying in this hour. If we are to allow Christ to live through us, therefore the old man must be crucified. Yes we can voluntarily crucify our flesh, but we cannot complete the process by ourselves. It normally requires another person to pound that third nail of betrayal into our old man of flesh, which allows the work of brokenness to be completed in us. Allow this day to be one of genuine reflection!!Elder Baker
