Word for the day: "Betrayal's Divine Purpose"

Matthew 6:14 (NIV) For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Just to remind you I closed yesterday saying; betrayal is a nail that will either complete the death process of our flesh. If the death process is not complete to our flesh we then tend to experience the lingering effects of unforgiveness and bitterness, which will result in an even worse state called partial death. Either we become bitter or we become better as a result of the process is all I am saying here.Betrayal is one of the divine tools God uses in the lives of His beloved children to make them like Jesus. I consider betrayal one of God’s Doctorate level courses for his choice leaders. So clearly, if you have been one who has been betrayed to the core of your being, fret not because betrayal serves divine purposes in our lives. Remember Jesus was betrayed by one of his spiritual son’s Judas, King David was betrayed by his biological son Absalom, and Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers. (This is some serious business folks)Jesus made it clear to His disciples that forgiving is not optional but a requirement. I don’t know who I am talking to today but you know who you are? Jesus minces no words in this process of moving through the death of the flesh to life in Him. ^{Matthew 5:44 (NIV)} But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, ⁴⁵ that you may be children of your Father in heaven”. Please notice sisters and brothers each week I have been dealing with the matter of betrayal or forgiveness in some depth.
