Word for the day: "Complete the Journey"

Acts 20:24 (KJV) But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.As Paul looked back over his life, he saw that life had not always been easy. There had been many battles to fight, races to run, a stewardship to fulfill. He had fought the world, the flesh, and the devil in city after city. There were times when he thought he was going to fail, but the Lord had always brought him through marvelously. I wonder can you relate to these words at this point in today’s message.Often time’s we as people try to avoid looking back. One thing is for sure, there is a wrong way to look back; it is to look back at our past sins, failures, and defeats with the wrong perspective. Looking back with the wrong lens can only make you fail even more today. But there is a divine way to look back to see where we have been and what the Lord has done in us and through us. Paul writes my heart this day, “That I might finish my course”. This had always been Paul’s greatest desire: v24“that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus”.God knows we all have a course to finish. God has a place for each of us to fill and a work for each of us to do. Some are permitted a shorter span of time for their work; others are given more time. Stephen in the Bible died a young man (Acts 7); Paul was permitted to live a longer life. But it is not the length of life that counts, it is the depth and strength of life.
