Word for the day: "It's not too late"

Genesis 3:1(TNIV) Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.Today, would you consider with me: What, in your opinion, was the worst decision you ever made? No matter have much you think you have messed up, I can promise you that others have made much worse decisions. The blessing of it all is that God was there to redeem their poor choices in life, and the same God is and will be there for us when we take a wrong turn on the road of life. So whatever bad decisions you have made in this life, you still have time with God to get your life on the right road.In the Bible, we are told about a couple who made the worst decision of all time. Surrounded by the most perfect environment, they made a decision with unbelievable consequences. In fact, their decisions has affected every generation since theirs, right up to today in the 21 st century. No other decision has so negatively impacted so many people for so long a time; for eternity if the truth is told. Of course, at the moment of truth, they didn’t realize that their decision would boomerang and give birth to all kinds of evil: violence, natural disasters, and even death. Yes indeed, Adam and Eve win the worst decision ever made prize.But the part that I am overwhelmed about today is that God was both able and willing to make the best of their self-made tragedy. And for the record we can be confident and sure that our God stands ready to help us, too. It’s not too late, today’s message is for families, friendships, married couples, single people, youth and young adults, early pregnancy teens, suicide survivors.Elder Baker
