Word for the day: "Creator of Israel"
Isaiah 43:15 (KJV) "I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King."Through the Prophet Isaiah, the Lord made it clear why the nation of Israel existed. They had been created by God Himself to serve as His agents of redemption to the rest of the world. This had been revealed centuries before Isaiah’s time when the Lord told Abraham, (Genesis 12:2-3) “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. But just like what happens to us often times, the Israelites forgot the reason for their existence. They tended to think they deserved God’s special blessing because of their cultural traditions and moral superiority. They had to be reminded constantly of the purpose of the One who was the V15 "Creator of Israel". Do you have to be reminded from time to time the reason for your existence? Well I trust today’s message enlarges your view of God being the source of your blessings in life.God, through His Son Jesus Christ, is still in the business of creating a special kingdom of people for Himself. It’s known as the church (Israel) and the body of Christ that’s who we are always, whether in the church house or outside the church doors. But please be mindful today that our purpose is not to celebrate our favored status as believers (Israel) only, we must embrace our task of helping others come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior for today and the rest of their lives. “Israel” simply means God’s chosen people and anyone who has Christ in their lives in personal way can be called “Israel” today (Romans Chapter 9 makes this point clearly), Have a wonderful day!Elder Baker
