Word for the day "Why are you doing it alone?"

Exodus 18:14 (NLT) When Moses’ father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he asked, “What are you really accomplishing here? Why are you trying to do all this alone while everyone stands around you from morning till evening?”When we function alone we are vulnerable in our lives. Together, however, we form a shield of protection for one another. God wants you and I to grow spiritually in a network of shared commitment and accountability, where we help each other to think and live in new ways. Relationships with each other are vital in the Lord's plan for our lives.In the New Testament Epistle Ephesians please notice to advance in battle, a group of soldiers would assemble together, making a wall of shields for protection as they moved forward. " (Ephesians 6:16). The shield of faith was likened to the shields carried by Roman soldiers, which were able to cover the entire body. Yes we actually create a shield for each other when we function relationally and in network. So we don't have to do this walk or our life alone anymore. Why are you doing it alone?Point to ponder- Who is standing beside you in the everyday battles of your life? Are you alone on the field or do you have trusted friends on each side? If you are functioning alone, how is that working out for you? Who has God called you to stand beside? And who has God called to stand beside you?
